We’re looking for a change agent to support a team in the early stages of its Agile journey. As a Scrum Master, you would be using your experience in coaching and mentoring of Agile values to guide the team to Agile maturity. This role will be pivotal in supporting the Growth Teams in the EPDM zone (Europe & Pacific Developed Markets) to deliver value. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Scrum Master comfortable delivering multiple agile focused initiatives across the team. You will help foster a culture of innovation, empowerment and continuous improvement to create a wonderful future for both customers and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Guide & educate the team in understanding and adoption of Agile/Scrum practices, oversee and direct all Scrum activities within your team.
- Help the team create a culture of collaboration, focus, and continuous improvement, while keeping a sustainable pace.
- Remove impediments to allow the team to continuously deliver value.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings where necessary, to ensure effective collaboration between the Team, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
- Support the team in creating overall transparency on the status of their work, ensuring appropriate information dissemination and collaboration.
- Mentor and develop new Junior Scrum Masters added to the function.
- Embody the values of Scrum, serving as an ambassador to the benefits of working in an Agile way.
- Act as a change agent in the organization, coaching, teaching, or facilitating as required to help the organization improve its overall business agility and culture.
- Flag issues/risks and other key actions that may need to interface with non-agile portions of the company.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master for an Agile team.
- Certified Scrum Master or equivalent certification.
- Exceptional communication skills including clarity, active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, assertiveness, and adaptability.
- Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to remain neutral and impartial, manage time effectively, understand group dynamics, and employ various facilitation techniques such as consensus building, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Proven experience in initiating new Agile teams and supporting existing teams in managing project work alongside routine tasks.
- Experience working in an FMCG setting a plus.
- Familiarity with various Agile practices, such as Kanban, visualization frameworks, user stories, and relative estimations.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence, Miro or other similar whiteboarding tool preferred.
- Ability to facilitate remote teams effectively and promote catalyst leadership, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
