Overview: We are seeking a Field Service Technician who will play a vital role in delivering solutions to company clients. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to travel for on-site system installations. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and controls experience, particularly with CNC machines and controls/PLC’s. Additionally, this individual will contribute to technical documentation and product development efforts.

Responsibilities:

System Installation and Setup:

  • Install and configure Tool Load Monitoring, Adaptive Controls, and Machine Monitoring systems on-site at customer locations.
  • Perform electrical and controls integration with CNC machines and other industrial equipment.
  • Ensure systems are fully operational and meet customer requirements.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to system functionality, performance, and integration.
  • Provide remote and on-site support to address technical challenges.
Travel Requirements:

  • Travel to customer sites across the US for installations, training, and support (travel up to 70%).
Technical Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical manuals, user guides, and installation instructions.
  • Document installation and troubleshooting processes for internal use.
Product Development Support:

  • Provide feedback from field installations to assist in refining and improving Company’s products.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to test and validate new features or systems.
Customer Interaction:

  • Train customers on the use and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Represent Company with professionalism and maintain strong customer relationships.
Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong background in electrical and controls systems, particularly with CNC machines and industrial controls.
  • Experience with system integration, PLCs, and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with machine monitoring and IoT technologies is a plus.
Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively.
Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain necessary travel documentation (e.g., passport, visas).
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
