Position Responsibilities:

Grinding Supervising Daily Operations:
- Overseeing the daily operations of CNC grinding machines to ensure smooth production and meeting deadlines. This includes ensuring machines are properly set up, calibrated, and running efficiently.

Staff Management and Training:
- Managing the CNC grinding team, including operators, technicians, and other staff members. This includes training, and developing employees, ensuring they are skilled in machine operation and safety procedures.

Quality Control and Inspection:
- Ensuring all parts meet quality standards by implementing regular inspections and quality checks. The supervisor ensures finished parts meet customer specifications, tolerances, and surface finishes.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
- Identifying and resolving any issues or malfunctions with CNC grinding machines, tooling, or the grinding process. This may include machine breakdowns, defects, or deviations from product specifications.

Optimizing Production Efficiency:
- Monitoring production rates, machine uptime, and cycle times to maximize efficiency. The supervisor works to minimize waste and downtime while maintaining high-quality production output.

Process Improvement:
- Continuously seeking ways to improve the CNC grinding process. This can involve optimizing machine settings, experimenting with new techniques, or upgrading equipment to improve speed, precision, or cost-efficiency.

Inventory Management:
- Managing tooling, abrasives, and other materials required for CNC grinding. The supervisor ensures adequate inventory levels and that the materials meet the required quality standards.

Reporting and Documentation:
- Keeping accurate records of production data, machine maintenance, quality control checks, and any issues or incidents. The supervisor may be responsible for generating production reports, tracking performance metrics, and communicating with upper management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical Degree or Certification (optional but preferred)
- 5-10 years of CNC ID and OD Grinding experience.
- Prior experience in supervisory roles a plus
Salary Description
$32 - 38/hourly
Compensation: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
